About Us

Originally opened in 1973, our family-owned and operated pharmacy has been a part of the Ada, Oklahoma community for over 50 years. Founded by longtime residents Dick and Amelda McCortney, the pharmacy was built on the belief that personalized, reliable service should always come first.

In July 2018, the pharmacy was purchased by husband-and-wife duo Zack Broderick, PharmD, and Megan Broderick, who now proudly continue the legacy of community-focused care.

We specialize in serving our community with exceptional service and high-quality medicines, health products, and wellness essentials. You’ll always work with someone who knows you by name, and our pharmacists take the time to listen, counsel, and answer your questions.

Stop by for all your healthcare needs—and don’t forget to shop our thoughtfully curated gift and boutique section while you're here!

I’ve been involved in pharmacy for most of my life. Even before officially starting in 2006, delivering prescriptions and later working as a pharmacy technician. I spent a lot of time in pharmacies growing up, as my dad was an officer for the Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy.

I earned my degree in Medical Physics from East Central University in 2008, then went on to pharmacy school at Southwestern, graduating in May 2013. Since then, I’ve been proud to work at McCortney’s Pharmacy, where my wife, Megan, and I have now been owners for the past seven years.

I’m passionate about the profession, committed to serving our community, and take great pride in the care and service we provide to every customer who walks through our doors.

Born and raised in Ada, Oklahoma, I’ve always felt a strong connection to this community. After spending most of my life here, it’s an honor to now run a business that allows me to give back to the town that helped raise me.

I’ve had a lifelong love for kids, fashion, and all things shopping. I earned a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from East Central University in 2010 and taught in both Mustang and Ada for six years. But my first job—at age 15—was in a pharmacy, where I unexpectedly fell in love with the front-end retail side. That job also brought me to Zach—we met while working at Lee’s Pharmacy here in Ada.

When Zach chose to attend pharmacy school, we set a shared goal to one day own and operate a pharmacy that felt as personal and welcoming as the one where our story started. That vision lives on through Vintage Drug.

Today, I manage business operations, marketing, and the retail side of the store. Our front-end reflects my passions—education, kids, and fashion—with a curated mix of children’s clothing, toys, and unique gifts. Whether it’s a special birthday, a silly gift for a coworker, or just something small to make someone smile, I love offering things that are thoughtful, joyful, and a little unexpected.
